Beta Tester Guide
Welcome to the Orbital Beta
Successful Days for Spacious Minds
๐
Thank you for being one of our first explorers.
Orbital is built for the way spacious minds actually work โ in bursts, across many projects, with real challenges around starting, stopping, and transitioning. You're exactly the person we built this for, and your feedback will directly shape what Orbital becomes.
Step 0 โ Install on your iPhone
1
Open Safari on your iPhone โ must be Safari, not Chrome
3
Tap the Share button (โ) at the bottom of the screen
4
Scroll down and tap "Add to Home Screen"
5
Tap Add โ Orbital appears as a full-screen app icon
โ ๏ธ Your data saves to this device. Don't clear your Safari data while testing or you'll lose your ships.
Your First Session โ Suggested Walkthrough
1
๐งญ Do the Daily Check-in
Answer two quick questions about your energy and resistance level. This calibrates how the app supports your day. Find it anytime via the compass button on the Plan screen.
2
๐ Add a Few Ships
Tap the ๏ผ button (top right, any screen) to add 2โ3 real projects. Go through the 4-step flow: pick a Zone, name the ship, set its phase and priority, and rate its Gravity (how hard is it to start?).
3
๐ช Explore the Solar System
Tap the System tab. Your ships orbit as planets. Tap any planet to see its ships. Toggle to โฐ Portfolio for a priority-sorted list view across all zones.
4
โก Try a Burn
Tap Burn, select a ship, pick a sprint length, and tap IGNITE. Let it run for a few minutes. When done, tap end and check out the post-burn screen.
5
๐ Trigger a Recharge
From the post-burn screen tap "Take a Recharge Break." Go through the full ritual โ pause questions, activity picker, break timer. This is one of Orbital's most distinctive features.
6
๐ Visit the Galaxy
Tap the Galaxy tab to see completed ships as stars in a constellation. Pre-loaded with demo data so you can experience the visual. Tap any star for its story.
What to Pay Attention To
๐ฌ
Does the language feel right? Ships, burns, zones, gravity โ does it resonate or feel confusing?
๐งญ
Does the daily Check-in feel useful or like friction?
๐
Is the Recharge Ritual something you'd actually use? Too long? Too short? Missing anything?
โฌ๏ธ
Does the Gravity rating capture something real for you?
โ
What's missing that you immediately wanted?
โจ
What surprised you โ in a good or bad way?

How to Give Us Feedback
Your feedback is the most valuable thing you can give us right now. We want all of it โ what works, what doesn't, what confused you, what delighted you, and what you immediately wished existed.
When giving feedback, it helps to share:
1.
What you were trying to do
3.
What you expected to happen
4.
Your overall gut reaction
"This felt weird" is valid. "I didn't understand what this meant" is great. "I would use this every day if it did X" is gold.
